Local 5 member, David Bustamante, a sworn firefighter for the Colorado Springs Fire Department arrived home last night (2/5/2010 at 8:30pm) after a year long tour of duty in the Middle East. David is a member of the U.S. Naval Reserve and has been deployed since last year in support of the War on Terror. He served at Camp Patriot in Kuwait but also traveled extensively through the Iraqi theater of operations during his tour. Bustamante has been a member of the Colorado Springs Fire Department since early 2007, serving as a Firefighter/EMT for the citizens of Colorado Springs. Local 5, Colorado Springs Fire Department and City Councilman Herpin welcomed their hero home as only the Fire service can by greeting him with familiar faces and the sight of our own Fire Engine 11.
